Il Miskolc International Opera Festival è orgoglioso di annunciare che gli Epica si esibiranno in uno show classico con orchestra e coro.

L' "Epica: The Classical Conspiracy Show” sarà un evento unico, perchè la band symphonic-metal olandese suonerà un programma musicale ben specifico. Metteranno in scena pezzi classici di MozartMozart, Dvorak, Verdi, Orff, Prokofiev, Grieg, Vivaldi nello stile degli Epica e ovviamente versioni sinfoniche di loro canzoni. Alcune verrano riscritte per renderle più solenni, solo per questo evento. E ci saranno altre sorprese.

Si terrà il 14.06.2008 (Sabato) alle 21 presso la Miskolc Ice Hall. I fan di tutto ilmondo possono acquistare i biglietit dall'EPICA Webshop al più presto. Il prezzo è di 40 euro.

Una brutta notizia per la povera Simone e per tutti i suoi fans... ha cancellato alcune date del tour europeo perchè non sta bene... povera!! Speriamo si rimetta in fretta... e io che avevo già i biglietti!! Come ci tenevo a vederli dal vivo!!

Ecco il messaggio che Simone ha lasciato per i suoi fans..

Cari Epica fans,

Da un paio di mesi ho lottato contro un'infezione e sono stata operata numerose volte. I dottori non sapevano cosa non andasse.
Dopo molti esami in ospedale hanno scoperto che la malattia in questione è la MRSA. A causa di condizioni igieniche non sono in grado di viaggiare in tour bus e soprattutto devo riposare.
Per questo siamo costretti a cancellare la maggior parte dei nostri show in Febbraio ad eccezzione di quelli del 22 e 23 a Lille e Vosselaar.
Non possiamo affermare quanto tempo richiederà.

Ci spiace molto di non poter fare questi show. Ciò su cui devo concentrarmi adesso è star meglio ed allora potremo riprendere il tour.

Simone è quasi guarita, ma per il tour USA hanno scelto di sostituirla:

The extra weeks of rest, as a result of the cancellation of most of this month’s shows, have helped Simone a lot in recovering from her MRSA infection. Three out of the four aspects in her latest test already showed negative, which is a major step forward! Unfortunately this also means that one of these still showed positive. As optimistic as we may be about these final test results, we just cannot risk her health by having her go on tour this soon already.

We have come a great way already and we must continue this way to overcome this. Therefore we have decided to ask our good friend Amanda Somerville to substitute Simone on our upcoming USA tour. As you all know, Amanda has been involved with Epica from the beginning as a vocal coach and can also be heard on every album as backing vocalist as well as part of our choir. We are very happy that Amanda is willing to help us out on this and we are most positive that these extra weeks of rest will give Simone enough time to fully recover from this infection so that she can join us on stage again during our Dutch club shows.

Le ulteriori settimane di riposo, che hanno significato la cancellazione dei concerti di questo mese, hanno aiutato molto Simone. Tre dei quattro esami totali sono già risultati negativi, il che è un grande passo avanti! Sfortunatamente uno di questi è ancora positivo. E sebbene siamo molto ottimisti per quanto riguarda il risultato finale, non possiamo rischiare la salute di Simone portandola già in tour.

Abbiamo tuttavia trovato una soluzione, abbiamo infatti chiesto alla nostra amica Amanda Somerville di sostituire Simone per quanto riguarda i prossimi concerti in USA. Come saprete, Amanda è stata coinvolta negli Epica sin dall'inizio come vocal coach, background vocalist e parte dei cori. Siamo molto contenti che Amanda abbia voglia di aiutarci e siamo sicuri che queste ulteriori settimane di riposo aiuteranno Simone a ristabilirsi completamente da questa infezione così che possa ritornare on stage per le date olandesi
